Actually, this is what I WISH Palin would do, but it will NEVER, EVER happen.
I wish Palin would bite the hand that feeds her and run against Congress and Washington - including McCain.
To out-maverick the maverick.
She is the only NORMAL person in the race. The other 3 are senatorial 4ndr01ds trained in doublespeak. She should just blast all of them and say what's on her mind. She shouldn't bother synching up her brain to McCain's positions. She should just state her positions and let the chips fall where they may.
The media will try to attack her for having differing views.
The answer to that is simple. "So what?"
Essentially, she should run almost independently of McCain. She should say that she'll stand up to Washington, and even John McCain, to fight for the little guy. When push comes to shove, McCain would have the power as President, but that shouldn't stop Palin from speaking her mind or trying to do what she feels is best for the country.
The advantage of this tactic is that she can savage the entire Washington political-industrial-military-infotainment-KGB establishment with a free hand for the bailout bill and the economic mess that was created by Washington. There's no point in trying to defend McCain on this. Instead of wasting time trying to figure out who's the least guilty, it's easier to throw them all under the bus. They all deserve to get run over.
Anyhoo ... it's an oddball strategy, but it would be funny as heck to see it happen ... which is why it never would.
edit: I wish she would say something like ...
"Frankly, they're all nuts in Washington. They've completely lost touch with reality. Obama's already written two autobiographies about himself. Biden thinks he connects with the middle class because he takes Amtrak. And McCain, God love him, has been in Washington for how many decades? And on top of that, you have an incestuous, narcissistic, vapid media freakshow that believes that it is the intellectual center of the universe. Give me a break. When Washington politicians and its media take a good, hard look in the mirror, it's only to adjust their hair and makeup."
